Named "Grounded" because of the energetic movements and fascinating "creatures" flying around while horizontal brush strokes at the bottom give it a grounding foundation that resemble feet! It reminds me of the Teddy Roosevelt quote "Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground”. Originally painted at Poor Richard's bookstore cafe in Colorado Springs on 9" x 9" watercolor paper.
What I particularly love about this artwork is that the elements are naturally floating around in a way that isn't extremely layered. I could pull out individual quirky "elements" in Photoshop and then resize and re-design them into a separate, coordinating composition. Professional scanning was done at 4800 dpi to ensure crisp, detailed reproduction quality at larger sizes.
